Happy New Year

Our first few days in Lexington Park were busy and fun and frustrating.

New Year's day we slept in, swam in the indoor pool, and introduced the kids to our new home.

And then there were days of ordering rental furniture, signing leases, searching thrift stores
for what we couldn't get rented, and picking up the 12 boxes we had mailed to ourselves.
The kids were troopers but we were all so ready
to be done with all of the transition stuff.

January 2nd was our first night in The Beach House.
Our furniture couldn't be delivered until the 3rd so we collected every blanket we could find
and had a sleepover in the basement in front of a fire Brent made for us in the fireplace.

And then it snowed.

Snow on the beach! It's the weirdest.

We went straight out and bought a toboggan.
